Movilla House Nursing Home has maintained its Five Star Food Hygiene Rating thanks to the hard work of the catering team.

Head Chef, Chris Adair is passionate about everything to do with food and food technology. This is reflected in the rating and through praise received from S.A.L.T. and the RQIA for the presentation of its soft diet meals.

The home was inspected by the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) local food safety officers who looked at how the food is prepared, served, cooked and stored as well as looking at the cleanliness of the care home’s facilities and how the staff are trained to prepare and maintain food safety records.

Movilla House has strict food safety systems in place, this together with great training has resulted in Movilla House maintaining its the five-star rating. Chris is meticulous at making sure his team keep paperwork up to date, with tasks including checking and recording temperatures at regular intervals. Knowing they have done this means the catering team can be sure the food they produce will be of the highest hygiene standard.
