Bedrooms

Our 48 bedrooms are beautifully decorated and many have views of the gardens and lawns. We offer mainly single rooms but also have double rooms for couples or companions to share. All rooms and ensuites have state of the art emergency nurse call points. Bedrooms have profiling beds, TV and telephone points. Some residents choose to have Sky TV installed and there is free WiFi available throughout the home.

Residents are encouraged to add their own personal touches to make it more homely. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

Lounges

Movilla House is a home from home with comfortable furniture, warm fireplaces and nostalgic areas to stimulate conversation and reminisce. Our four bright, friendly lounges provide the perfect setting where residents can chat, entertain guests or watch TV while enjoying the wonderful views of the gardens. Friends and relatives are always welcome.

Library

Situated on the first floor our library is a quiet room offering a range of books. Newspaper delivery can also be arranged. The gramophone and vintage typewriter evoke memories of happy times of bringing up children and it provokes conversation about the past.

Hair Salon

Our professional stylist is on hand on Wednesdays for cuts, colours, perms and sets, in our fully fitted hair salon. Residents enjoy some much deserved pampering and a chat with our stylist who is experienced in understanding their needs. A trip to the salon is great for enhancing both our ladies and gents sense of well being.

Reminiscence Touches

There are reminiscence touches throughout Movilla that provide a haven of fond memories and encourage residents to remember and talk about ‘the good old days’. This extends through to the artwork including old images of Northern Ireland, vintage adverts and movie stars from a bygone era.
