June Activites & Events

4th June 2019

Our June activities calendar is packed with events. We will be celebrating National Fish & Chip Day on the 7th of June with what else but fish and chips. We will be remembering days to the seaside eating fish and chips wrapped in newspaper.

The week of 10th June is National Carers Week. It is a great opportunity to take a moment to share a few words of appreciation to all carers, for the amazing work they do.

You will notice a little white tree appearing in our reception area. We would invite residents and friends of Movilla House to take a moment to write a few words on a little tag and hang it on the tree for our carers to read. You might want to say thank you to everyone or a special somebody, you might want to share a special memory. These heartfelt messages will be treasured by our team.

On 13th June we will be tasting more delights, it’s Cupcake Day for Alzheimer’s. Last year we raised a whopping £2400.26.

We will be enjoying live music from St. Mark’s Music Group on 14th June, which is sure to be a wonderful afternoon.

Throughout the month there will be craft, flowering arranging, bingo, pamper afternoons and our new favourite carpet bowls. For exact dates please refer to our June activities calendar.

We finish the month off with our Open Day to celebrate 30 years of Movilla House Nursing Home on Friday 28th June. It will be a day to remember and is not to be missed. Please invite along friends and family to see what Movilla Life is all about.
